Role: BI Tester with Azure

Location:

Louisville, KY – 100% Onsite Long Term Contract – W2/ C2C

We are looking for an experienced BI Tester with strong exposure to Azure Data Services to support data validation, ETL testing, and reporting quality assurance for business intelligence platforms. The candidate must have hands-on experience in validating data pipelines, performing backend testing, and ensuring reporting accuracy.

• Perform ETL and BI testing across various data pipelines and reporting layers
• Validate data migration, transformation logic, and reporting outputs
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity across source and target systems
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and business stakeholders to define and execute test scenarios
• Conduct regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Maintain test cases, defect logs, and test summary reports in test management tools
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

  7+ Years
• 5+ years of experience in BI/Data Testing roles
• Strong expertise in SQL and experience testing data pipelines, ETL workflows
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse)
• Understanding of data models, data marts, and reporting structures
• Familiarity with Power BI, SSRS, or Tableau for report validation
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g.
