Job Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Scrum Master in the information technology sector based in Dublin, Ohio. As a Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in guiding our team and organization to adopt agile practices and values. You will also be responsible for facilitating team interactions, decision making, and conflict resolution.
Responsibilities- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
- Coach the team in self-organization, cross-functionality, and Team Based Solutioning (TBS).
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on value management practices for effective Product Backlog refinement & prioritization practices.
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel.
- Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
- Observe team interactions, and call out observations as an opportunity for feedback and learning.
- Encourage and enable open and honest communication among the team members, including the Product Owner.
- Facilitate the assessment of team maturity and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
- Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
- Collaborate with other Agile Team Facilitators to increase the effectiveness of agile adoption within the organization.
- Possession of excellent customer service skills to ensure the satisfaction of stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate effective conversation among team members.
- Demonstrated ability in planning and organizing tasks in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Knowledge of various procedures and policies within a Scrum setting.
- Familiarity with different planning processes and workstation support.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to guide a team towards achieving its objectives.
- Understanding of Agile Scrum practices and principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites for seamless documentation and presentation.
- Background in Computer Sciences or related field is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Experience in decision-making and conflict resolution within a team.
- Familiarity with product development and software development processes.
- Knowledge of Scrum patterns, bug tracking and backlog grooming.
- Experience in facilitation and ability to conduct efficient meetings.
- Willingness to continually learn and adapt to new practices and techniques.
