Position Overview

The Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory activities of the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all materials, supplies, and services required for production are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors based on quality, price, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure optimal value.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and other departments to determine purchasing needs.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and related documentation.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply issues.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Evaluate bids and proposals, conducting supplier audits as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and supplier management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing and/or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and systems.
  • Demonstrated track record of cost savings and effective supplier management.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
