Die Maintenance Technician General Function
Proficiently repair and prepare fine blanking dies for production.
DutiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.
Working ConditionsWorks inside plant where there is a great deal of noise. The work may be dusty, dirty and greasy. Exposed to chemicals in coolants and handles sharp edged metal.
Physical EffortWorks on a hard surface; stands, stoops, bends and lifts heavy objects (approximately 100 lbs.). May operate more than one (1) machine at a time.
Safety EquipmentWears safety shoes, glasses, gloves and ear plugs where required.
Qualification RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED; one (1) year machine shop certificate or equivalent experience; ability to read a blueprint; basic math ability, working knowledge of metric measuring system, and experience in the use of calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges.
AdditionalPreferred Qualifications
Some technical level courses; basic programming training. More than one (1) year of experience in machine shop and/or die making.
