• Performs TIG and MIG welding of structural metals in accordance with American Welding Society standards and specific work instructions regarding product construction.
• Use engineering drawings to assemble HVAC units/sub-assemblies.
• May be required to perform simple wire connections, per drawings, etc.
• MIG and TIG welding for galvanized and stainless-steel applications.
• Demonstrate ability to use an assortment of hand/power tools.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Complete unit paperwork and Quality Control (QC) checklist.
• Reporting of defective equipment to Supervisor.
• Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner.
• Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner.

• Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations.
• Participate in toolbox talks & monthly training.
• Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of your coworkers.
• Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management.
• Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner.

• Education & Experience:
  
  Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Physical Demands:
  Ability to lift 50 lbs;
  Requires bending, stooping, and standing. Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend time period.) Good visual and spatial perception.
• Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc.
