Summary
  • Performs Tig (Aluminum/Stainless steel) welding of structural metals in accordance with American Welding Society standards and specific work instructions regarding product construction.
  • Use engineering drawings to assemble HVAC units/sub‑assemblies.
  • May be required to perform simple wire connections, per drawings, etc.
  • MIG and TIG welding for galvanized and stainless‑steel applications.
  • Demonstrate ability to use an assortment of hand/power tools.
  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Complete unit paperwork and Quality Control (QC) checklist.
  • Reporting of defective equipment to Supervisor.
  • Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner.
  • Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner.
Safety Responsibilities
  • Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations.
  • Participate in toolbox talks & monthly training.
  • Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of your coworkers.
  • Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management.
  • Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner.
  • Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner.
