** Position Summary
** The CNC Router Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the Symbotic Router and other associated equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet production and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accurate records and reporting.
** Responsibilities
* ** Operate all equipment safely, following established safety protocols.
* Set up and operate the Symbotic Router to manufacture parts according to job specifications.
* Operate jib cranes, table saws, lift tables, and conveyors as needed for material handling and production.
* Conduct quality checks on products to ensure adherence to specifications and make necessary adjustments during production.
* Read and follow the production schedule and job traveler to ensure accurate production sequencing.
* Maintain accurate data reporting of materials used and products produced.
* Band and pack finished products efficiently and securely.
* Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards in the Symbotic Router work cell.
* Monitor tool inventory and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
** Personal Attributes and Experience
*** High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
* Minimum 1-3 years of CNC operator experience or 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
* Safety-first mindset – must always prioritize safety while operating equipment.
* Ability to follow written instructions and maintain legible handwriting.
* Strong attention to detail to keep accurate records of materials used and product output.
* Proficiency in using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
* Willingness to cross-train and support other departments or operations based on business needs.
* Demonstrated interest in learning new skills and progressing into additional roles or advancement opportunities within the company.
* Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
** Work Environment
** Work involves standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting. Exposure to a manufacturing environment, including noise, dust, and moving equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
