Senior Production Planner
As a Senior Production Planner at our Louisville facility, you will be responsible for creating short- to mid-range production schedules for a mix of make-to-order and make-to-stock products. You will work cross-functionally with purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure timely production while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Assist in production specification writing. This position is critical in supporting Koroseal's delivery performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for wall coverings.
- Utilize System 21 ERP to manage production orders, inventory, and raw material requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of vinyl, inks, and other raw materials based on the production plan.
- Monitor work-in-progress and adjust schedules in response to labor, machine availability, or material delays.
- Communicate schedule changes and priorities to production supervisors and floor leads.
- Collaborate with customer service and shipping to meet delivery commitments and expedite urgent orders.
- Track and report on key metrics such as on-time delivery, production attainment, and schedule adherence.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, inventory, and lead time reduction.
- Technical production specification writing (Approx 20% of the time).
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in production planning or manufacturing scheduling.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems;
System 21 experience strongly preferred. - Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with scheduling tools or manufacturing dashboards a plus.
