Job Description Essential Job Functions
- Communications Strategy: Functions as a representative of the Marketing & Communications team to ensure development and execution of the annual communications calendar for content creation including but not limited to monthly external newsletters, internal communications, and digital media channels. Keeps up to date on the latest communications trends, standards, and strategies. Understands and utilizes SEO best practices. Drafts and schedules written blogs alongside Seven Counties Services experts to continuously grow and reach new audiences.
Identifies and segments key audience demographics and drafts content that is relevant and persuasive to effectively communicate to a wide variety of constituents. - Media Relations: Drafts, sends, and follows up on routine press releases and media pitches to encourage growth of media relationships and public perception. Maintains and grows media contact list and tracks earned media. Organizes and conducts media training for key internal employees in conjunction with the Director of Marketing & Communications.
- Public Relations: Identify opportunities and draft nominations for organizational and employee specific awards and recognitions. Utilize strategic and compelling messaging to elevate and spotlight organization and key leadership to improve visibility and impact. Assists leadership in the development of speeches, event scripts, and public presentations as needed. Monitors public perception and online presence. Represents Seven Counties Services while working with partners and vendors as required.
- Government Relations: Provide support to the executive team or others on the development of content for government focused newsletters, official statements, and other written messaging.
- Marketing/Branding: Designs mission‑driven written content to be used across a wide spectrum of digital channels including but not limited to social media, website, blog, and email at Seven Counties Services. Develops mission driven messaging and adheres to branding guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to achieve efficiency and effectiveness through the implementation of new and modified approaches, practices, and processes.
- Reporting: Tracks and communicates business records, reports, and statistics, including the preparation of monthly content recaps, and conducts presentations on data as needed.
- Collaboration: Maintain effective and frequent collaboration with Marketing & Communications Manager to ensure all internal and external communication efforts align with branding strategy and organizational goals. Supports additional External Affairs & Advancement team efforts as needed. Travels to different Seven Counties Services and external sites as needed.

Education- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, or closely related field preferred.
- A minimum of four - six years' experience in marketing, communications, or content development position with a healthcare focus preferred.
- Reliable transportation for frequent travel.
- A valid driver's license is required.
