Fund Development Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Fund Development Manager to lead our organization’s fundraising efforts and cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in nonprofit management, event planning, digital marketing, and CRM software to advance our mission through innovative fundraising strategies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by expanding our funding sources and enhancing our visibility within the community by collaborating closely with the Executive Director, board members, volunteers and staff.

• Manage and execute ACS's annual fundraising plan with an emphasis on individual donors
• Plan and implement direct appeals, including mail, email, digital and giving day campaigns
• Collaborate with the marketing team on public relations initiatives to enhance organizational reputation.
• Track fundraising performance and adjust strategies to meet/exceed revenue goals
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporations, foundations, and community partners through personalized engagement and communication.
• Maintain donor records and gift tracking in the organization's CRM
• Ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful donor acknowledgement and recognition
• Support Executive Director and Board Members with donor outreach and follow-up
• Assist with Identifying grant opportunities and managing submission timelines
• Support relationships with corporate partners and sponsors
• Plan and manage fundraising events, including promotion and post-event follow-up
• Support third-party fundraising efforts and community-led campaigns
• Coordinate with Executive Director to ensure events align with ACS's mission and brand
• Write compelling grant proposals and reports to secure funding from grants and institutional donors.
• Conduct research on potential funding opportunities, emerging trends in nonprofit management, and estate planning options for donors.

• Experience using donor databases/CRMs and basic reporting tools
• Demonstrated success in individual giving, annual fund, or event fundraising
• Proven experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related fields
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working directly with donors, volunteers, and board members
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Expertise in digital marketing tools including Mailchimp, social media management platforms, and email marketing campaigns.

• Experience in nonprofit fundraising or development
• Experience working in animal welfare or a similar mission-driven organization
• Familiarity with donor segmentation, email marketing platforms, or peer-to-peer fundraising
• Grant writing or corporate sponsorship experience
• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, research, public relations, sales techniques, budgeting, and marketing strategies.
