ResponsibilitiesThe Surgical Services Department at Jewish Hospital consists of the following three areas:
Main Hospital;
Heart Hospital; and Outpatient Care Center, which includes the Hand Care Center. Surgical Services is open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to ensure all surgeries, including emergencies, are completed and the community’s health needs are met. Our service lines include Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Robotics, General, Colorectal, Urology, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Dental, Plastics, Hands, and Oral Maxillofacial.
In total, we have 30 operating rooms, 2 of which are considered Hybrid rooms equipped to perform endovascular, robotic, and cardiothoracic surgeries. Our staff take pride in offering excellent care to our patients, as well as their families.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
- Associates’s degree from accredited college or University
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University
