A Day in the Life
As an RN, Staff Nurse at Home of the Innocents, you'll provide high-quality medical care to children and young adults with diverse needs in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. You'll play a vital role in assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic atmosphere that nurtures the well-being of every resident.

Schedule Options
- Self-Scheduling - Create your own schedule for better work/life balance
- Night Shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM
- Full-Time available: 30 or 36 hours per week
- Weekend shifts/rotation required
- Deliver compassionate nursing care to children with complex medical needs, ensuring their health, safety, and comfort.
- Lead care planning by assessing, planning, and evaluating individualized treatment approaches.
- Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care, with training available for those new to this area.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Foster a nurturing, trauma-informed environment that supports healing and emotional well-being.
- Educate residents and families on managing medical conditions to promote long-term health outcomes.
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of Kentucky
- CPR/BLS certification required, will be provided, if necessary
- Experience in pediatrics or long-term care preferred but not required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with or willingness to learn vents, trachs, and medically complex care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for working with children and families
- Commitment to trauma-informed care and collaborative problem-solving
