• Location: Louisville, KY 40207 — Louisville healthcare, Kentucky nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel Nurse/contract)
• Unit: 5E Monitored-post Vascular & Thoracic Surgery Unit
• Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Population: Adults (post-op vascular & thoracic surgery)
• Start / End Dates: March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930-$2030

• Minimum 2 years recent Telemetry RN / cardiac monitoring experience
• Active Registered Nurse license (Kentucky or compact state accepted)
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS; NIHSS required
• EPIC EMR / EPIC charting experience required
• Must pass advanced dysrhythmia (EKG) competency assessment
• Two professional references
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

• Continuous cardiac monitoring: interpret rhythms, recognize and manage dysrhythmias
• Provide post-vascular and thoracic surgery nursing care, including post-op monitoring and patient education
• Manage feeding tubes, surgical drains, central/peripheral IV lines, and arterial lines
• Administer blood products and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips per protocol
• Respond appropriately with rapid response and code teams when indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: IV therapy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, and physicians
• Accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR system
• Float to other monitored units as required to support patient care

• Develop advanced telemetry and post-op vascular/thoracic nursing skills — strong fit for RNs with critical care or step-down experience
• Work nights in a supportive team environment with opportunities for professional growth
