Meadowview Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, invites you to join our ICU RN team and help deliver high‑quality care to critically ill adults.

The ICU is a 6‑bed unit that provides direct patient care to critically ill adult patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Documents patient care.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Floats to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse‑to‑patient ratios.
• Manages ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and Vapotherm.
• Titrates and maintains critical drips on ICU patients, including knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects.
• Must pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire or transfer.

• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) required within one month of hire;
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within one year of hire;
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within one year of hire;
  Handle with Care required within 30 days of orientation.
• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree required;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licenses:
  Current Kentucky or compact state RN license required.
