Private Duty Float Nurses (RN or LPN)

Immediate Need for Private Duty Float Nurses - Registered Nurses (RN) & Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in the Louisville KY area. Full and part time shifts for days, nights, weekdays & weekends available for RNs & LPNs. Hourly pay RN: $35-$42 and LPN $28-$32.

Bright Star Care Louisville is hiring Private Duty Float Nurses (RN or LPN) to provide skilled nursing care to clients in their home environment, offering scheduled flexibility by filling open shifts across multiple cases. This role ensures continuity of care for clients and support for the nursing team when coverage gaps arise.

The Float Nurse must be experienced in caring for pediatric and adult clients with complex medical needs and be adaptable to different home environments and care plans. Must have experience with pediatrics, vent, trach, gtube, and cath.

Requirements:

• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Kentucky
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required with bedside care preferred
• Experience with g-tubes, trachs/vent and cath care preferred
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities:

• Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care
• Monitor and track changes in the client/patient's conditions and needs, and keeps the Nurse Manager and any other appropriate personnel informed
• Proactively updates client/patients' family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
• Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and organization skills needed

Salary: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour (Licensed Practical Nurse $28-32) & (Registered Nurse $35-42).

Weekly schedule:

• Monday to Friday weekday
• Weekend availability

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
