Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Overview

We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join UPMC–GoHealth Urgent Care in the greater Pittsburgh area and across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Our urgent care centers provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care using advanced technology such as an integrated EPIC EMR, point‑of‑care testing, and on‑site X‑ray.

• Deliver direct patient care, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures such as sutures, casts and splints.
• Read and interpret EKGs and X‑rays to support patient management.
• Document clinical encounters in the EPIC system and maintain accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with on‑site radiology technicians, medical assistants and other clinicians as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain clinical workflow on scheduled daily shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and on‑call coverage.

• 1 year of full‑time experience in Emergency Medicine or 2 years in an Urgent Care setting (2 years of Family Medicine experience considered).
• Comfortable performing minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints) and preliminary reading of EKGs and X‑rays.
• Experience treating patients newborn and up in an acute care environment.
• Physician Assistants:
  Master’s degree and NCCPA certification required.
• Nurse Practitioners:
  Master’s degree and ANCC or AANP certification required.
