*** is seeking a FT outpatient Pain Management APRN/PA. This position will support our Interventional Pain Specialist. The Nurse Practitioner will coordinate the planning, implementation and on-going monitoring and evaluation of pain management patients in collaboration with the designated collaborating licensed physician in the clinical care setting. Responsibilities include examining, diagnosing, treating patient conditions, educating patients including medical and procedural options, prescribing medications and treatments, assisting in the coordinating continuum of care, and performing other duties to support patients.
* 8a-5p/40 hour work week
* No weekends

* Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of clients by means of interview, health history, physical examination and diagnostic studies for both inpatient and outpatient services.
* Recognizes deviations from normal in the physical assessment. Works in collaboration with a physician in formulating treatment plans for health problems and follow-up.
* Manage specialty clinic
* Writes prescriptions for medication, blood tests, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies and therapeutic measures.
* Requests written consultation from physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate and quality patient care.
* Interprets and evaluates findings of studies/tests.
* Relays appropriate information regarding patient care to the collaborating physician.
* Evaluates the quality of care provided and recommends changes for improvement.
* Initiates appropriate actions to facilitate the implementation of therapeutic plans that are consistent with the continuing healthcare needs of the patient.
* Participates in multidisciplinary conference and ensures appropriate, quality care.
* Provides symptom management for side effects related to oncologic treatment.
* Assist with admissions.
* Works both collaboratively and independently.
* Maintains oversight of survivorship program and survivorship clinic.
* Shares clinical expertise with professional and supportive personnel.
* Documents and reports care in an accurate, timely manner.
