Are you a compassionate, skilled nursing aide who finds purpose in helping children rebuild strength, independence, and quality of life? Home of the Innocents is seeking a Restorative Aide to join our Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center.
A Day in the LifeThe Restorative Aide provides safe, compassionate, resident-centered care within the CNA scope of practice, guided by physician’s orders and individualized care plans. You’ll collaborate with the Vice President of Nursing, ancillary therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to promote the highest practicable quality of life for each resident, while upholding federal, state, local, and facility standards.
Schedule40 hours per week, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM or 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, with rotating weekends.
How This Position Contributes to Our Mission- Deliver and monitor individualized Restorative Nursing programming (ROM, mobility, ADLs, sensory activities)
- Provide direct resident care within CNA scope, including mobility support and restorative goal tracking
- Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately and timely in the EHR
- Engage residents in developmentally appropriate, therapeutic interactions and activities
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and ancillary therapy on care plans, quality improvement, and discharge planning
- Maintain a clean, infection‑safe environment; perform delegated tasks and report resident changes per OSHA and HIPAA standards
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) certification in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification (provided if needed)
- Minimum of one (1) year of SRNA experience in acute or long-term care
- Competency-based training in Restorative Nursing modalities (provided and required)
Preferred:
- Familiarity with tracheostomy and ventilator‑dependent resident care within CNA scope
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care principles and interdisciplinary therapy treatment plans (PT/OT/SLP)
