Loyal Source Government Services is looking for full-time Certified Nursing Assistants to provide onsite patient care services at the Robley Rex VAMC in Louisville, Kentucky.
Job SummaryCertified Nursing Assistants must provide services necessary to perform onsite services to our Veteran population located at the Robley Rex VAMC in Louisville, Kentucky. Certified Nursing Assistants are required to deliver high‑quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals, focusing on the care of veterans so patients may attain, maintain, or recover to optimal health and quality of life.
Pay$18.44
Duties- Provide close observation of patients and document on the patient's observation flow sheet hourly or as directed by RN to document patient behavior, Activity of Daily Living, and physical care every tour. Documentation can occur every 15 minutes as delegated by the nurse or charge nurse.
- Delivery of direct patient care to include personal hygiene care (bathing, dressing, toileting), assistance with meals, lifting and moving, and assistance with ambulation.
- Assist in the full range of nursing care to patients/residents with physical or behavioral problems in a hospital or long‑term care setting under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Tasks include taking measures, recording weight, height, vital signs, intake and output, foley care, collecting urine, stool and sputum tests, setting up and monitoring wall and tank oxygen, and assembling chest suction equipment.
- Communicate orally with patients/residents, families, interdisciplinary team and other personnel, and serve as a preceptor to new CNAs by assisting with orientation and overseeing their practical experience.
- Recognize and react to emergent patient/resident care situations and intervene while waiting for assistance, for example, basic life support, fall prevention, bleeding control or behavior crisis.
- Report changes in mental or physical status immediately to assigned nurse or charge nurse.
- Current basic life‑support certificate from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
- One year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant within the last three years.
- Three professional references.
- Current license as a Certified Nursing Assistant in any state, territory, or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property.
- Proficiency in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements, including speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English fluently.
- Multiple shifts:
Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., 11 p.m.–7 a.m., 7 a.m.–7 p.m., and 7 p.m.–7 a.m., excluding federal holidays. - Certified Nursing Assistants shall provide a tour of eight working hours with a 30‑minute meal break (non‑paid) and two 15‑minute breaks (paid).
W2 pay package with paid leave, holidays, and eligibility for health insurance options.
