Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Louisville, Kentucky | Full-Time | On-Site

Elsmere Psychiatry Group is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our expanding behavioral health team in Louisville, Kentucky. This full-time, on-site opportunity offers a collaborative practice environment with a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care. Our providers work alongside experienced psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and case management teams to deliver exceptional, patient-centered behavioral healthcare.

  • Salary:
    Starting at $130,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Position Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up assessments under the collaborating physician model as applicable
  • Provide medication management for inpatient and outpatient psychiatric patients
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing, therapists, social workers, and case management to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in treatment planning and discharge coordination
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans
  • Participate in an equitable on-call rotation as required
Qualifications
  • Master s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active, unrestricted Kentucky APRN license or willingness to obtain
  • DEA license or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience in inpatient psychiatry of 1-2 years preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based behavioral healthcare
  • On-site, physician-led practice focused on delivering high-quality behavioral healthcare
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary team with strong administrative support
  • Opportunities to practice across multiple facilities and regions, including telemedicine services
