A Day in the LifeOur Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center is a skilled nursing facility providing short-term, long-term, and respite care to pediatric residents and young adults with complex medical, developmental, and physical needs. These include congenital abnormalities, traumatic injuries, developmental disabilities, self-harming behaviors, seizures, and complex respiratory or cardiovascular conditions.
RN, Charge Nurses coordinate and oversee the daily care provided by licensed nurses and nursing assistants. In this role, you will ensure that care is safe, compassionate, and aligned with clinical best practices.
Shifts Available (Self-Scheduling Available):Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (30 or 36 hours/week)
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (30 or 36 hours/week)
Supervise nursing services and team members, ensuring quality and compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate care
Maintain clear, accurate documentation and meet all regulatory standards
Provide leadership in the absence of administrative staff
Assist in staffing, scheduling, and training as needed
Step in to provide direct patient care when necessary
Skills & Qualifications
Current, unencumbered KY RN license
CPR/BLS certification (required)
Charge Nurse experience preferred, but not required
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to lead with compassion and professionalism
