Position Overview

As a Program Quality Coordinator at Galen College of Nursing, you will be responsible for managing faculty credentialing and supporting the evaluation of academic programs to ensure the highest standards of program quality and compliance. This position collaborates closely with campus and college leadership, and Human Resources to implement policies and best practices across all campuses as it relates to program evaluation and faculty credentialing.

The Program Quality Coordinator also provides support in facilitating the systematic evaluation process for all nursing programs and to ensure they effectively demonstrate compliance with programmatic accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Program Evaluation and Quality Manager with the development, implementation, reporting, and auditing processes required for the Systematic Plan of Evaluation (SPE) for all nursing programs.
  • Fulfill the production of faculty rosters and faculty-related reports required for accrediting bodies, state boards of nursing, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to ensure that SPEs are being maintained, include accessible and appropriate data, and are consistently implemented and reported.
  • Audit credentials of faculty and academic leadership to ensure the College’s compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Audit committee meeting minutes and rosters related to Program Quality and report findings to the Program Evaluation and Quality Manager. Provide support to campus academic leadership on resolving findings.
  • Audit SPE data to identify at-risk outcomes and report findings to the Program Evaluation and Quality Manager.
  • Collaborate with accreditation team and HR to prepare for accreditation site visits, including the faculty documentation that demonstrates compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Maintain an ongoing audit of faculty activities, including but not limited to professional development, service, and scholarship. This requires working with campus leadership to ensure proper documentation of these activities.
  • Assist the Training and Development Team with developing and maintaining training that educates leadership and faculty to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Maintain the faculty handbook and ensure faculty policies and procedures remain in compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.

  • Position Requirements
    • Education: An earned bachelor’s degree. Experience may substitute for education as appropriate.
    • Experience: Previous experience in higher education preferred.

      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Must have excellent decision‑making, problem‑solving, and communication skills and the ability to take initiative and facilitate the College’s efforts to achieve and maintain institutional and programmatic accreditation.
