Position Overview
The Registered Nurse provides safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care while promoting quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care.
The RN also supervises licensed and non-licensed staff, delegates appropriately, supports patient/family education, and contributes to quality improvement and evidence-based nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments.
- Develop, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care.
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide and evaluate patient/family education throughout the stay and at discharge.
- Delegate and supervise tasks performed by licensed and non-licensed staff.
- Serve as a mentor/preceptor and promote effective teamwork.
- Participate in quality, safety, service improvement, and practice governance initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- 2 years of acute care RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
- Active Registered Nurse license
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- NIHSS required
