Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN with a KY or compact RN license, requiring 2 years of ED experience and Epic proficiency.

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of acute care ED RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department (ED/ER) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Scheduled for 3 shifts per week totaling 36 hours
• Required to work every other weekend per unit guidelines
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Provide safe, effective, patient and family-centered care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments, initiating and adjusting care plans as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and coordinate patient/family education throughout treatment and discharge
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff while mentoring and precepting team members
• Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives within the unit
