Infection Control&Wound Nurse

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor infection prevention and control protocols across the facility
• Perform wound assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct wound care
• Educate staff, residents, and families on infection control and wound management best practices
• Conduct audits, surveillance, and reporting of infection trends and outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of infection control activities and wound care treatments
• Assist with staff training, orientation, and ongoing competency checks
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance for infection prevention and wound care
