American Traveler is hiring an RN - PACU with 2+ years of PACU experience, litho experience, and a KY or compact RN license required.

• Self-contained surgical PACU unit with 6 pre/post beds and 2 ORs
• Average patient ratio of 2:1
• Common procedures include lithotripsy, cystoscopy, and TURP/TURBT
• Common medications administered include Fentanyl, Versed, and Dilaudid
• Uses Epic EMR
• Surgical scrubs provided
• Day shift schedule from 7a-7p, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Call required, including one weekday shift 7p-11p
• Weekend on-call required no more than every 6th weekend, 7a-7p Saturday and Sunday

• Active KY or compact RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
• Litho experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Must be able to read telemetry and titrate medications
• Skills required include IV insertion, sedation, trach care, and CBI
• Pre/post-anesthesia or circulator experience preferred

• Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans
• Provides patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge needs
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff
• Serves as a mentor and preceptor for other staff members
• Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
• Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
