American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 25-bed urology/colorectal unit, requiring a KY or compact RN license and 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience.

• Night shift in a 25-bed urology/colorectal inpatient unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5-6:1
• Shift hours 6:45pm-7:15am, working every other weekend
• 36 hours per week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Common diagnoses include bladder/colon resections, TURPs, and amputations
• Medication administration includes IV antibiotics, pain meds, HTN meds, and anticoagulants
• Equipment used includes IV pumps, walkers, and gait belts
• RN responsible for reading telemetry and titrating medications
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient telemetry RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required

• Performs patient assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation following the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Provides patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
• Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives within a Practice Governance framework
• Promotes teamwork and a positive unit culture
