American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Acute Renal Care position requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency.
Details- Acute Renal Care unit with 34 beds
- Patient ratio of 4-5:1
- Renal-focused unit treating ESRD and peritoneal dialysis patients
- Common medications include heparin drip and insulin
- Uses Epic EMR
- Night shift schedule from 6:45pm-7:15am
- Works 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- Required to work every other weekend
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient RN telemetry experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Perform dialysis assessments, PCA management, feeding tube care, and wound vac care
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and patient families
- Mentor and precept staff while delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
- No local rate reduction for candidates residing nearby
