To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• At least 16 years of age
  , with CPR certification and current Lifeguard certification from a recognized provider.
• The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Proficiency in lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques
  .
• Capable of performing CPR and providing emergency medical assistance when needed.
• Basic computer skills for administrative duties and reports.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and effectively present information.
• Ability to walk frequently around the property, including being exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
• Comfortable climbing stairs and ladders, as well as performing physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.

As a Pool Attendant/Lifeguard, you will:

• Ensure the safety of pool patrons by maintaining constant surveillance and responding swiftly to emergencies.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until emergency medical services arrive, if necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance and a high standard of customer service at all times.
• Perform various maintenance tasks to ensure the pool area remains clean, safe, and inviting.
• Keep accurate activity reports and assist with other administrative duties.
• Follow Brookside policies and ensure compliance with OSHA
  , EPA
  , and Fair Housing regulations.
• Address any unusual or extraordinary circumstances related to the residents or property.
