Project Quality Specialist

The Project Quality Specialist ensures consistent product quality performance across customer field installations. This role supports disciplined quality execution, structured problem solving, and closed-loop corrective action to resolve issues, reduce risk, and help maintain on-time project delivery.

This position serves as a primary connection point between field operations, suppliers, and internal functions. The role ensures quality concerns are clearly communicated, effectively managed, and resolved in alignment with customer expectations, project requirements, and schedule commitments.

Aligned with the Product Quality Center of Excellence (CoE), this role strengthens organizational capability through standardized processes, data-driven insights, consistent issue management, and continuous improvement of product and supplier quality performance.

The Project Quality Specialist role is structured across three levels to reflect increasing scope, experience, and leadership responsibility:

  • Level I – Entry
  • Level II – Intermediate
  • Level III – Senior / Lead
Field Quality Execution
  • Establish and deploy standardized quality processes, inspection criteria, and documentation requirements for customer field sites.
  • Partner with Field Supervisors to ensure consistent application of quality requirements during product receipt, installation, integration, and commissioning.
Data Collection & Analysis
  • Collect, validate, and analyze field quality data, including defect trends, failure modes, risk indicators, and corrective action status.
  • Identify recurring trends and systemic issues to support proactive quality improvement and risk reduction initiatives.
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action
  • Lead or support structured root cause investigations using 8D corrective action verification.
  • Initiate, track, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely containment, corrective action, preventive action, and closure.
Issue Management & Resolution
  • Own or coordinate end-to-end resolution of field quality issues, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, internal standards, and project timelines.
  • Develop and execute actionable quality plans to address product, supplier, installation, and integration-related concerns.
Cross-Site & Supplier Quality Coordination
  • Coordinate across multiple field sites to assess quality scope, identify risks, and ensure consistency in issue resolution.
  • Interface with Supplier Quality Specialists to address supplier-related issues, improve performance, and reinforce accountability for corrective actions.
Closed-Loop Quality Feedback
  • Maintain an effective feedback loop between field operations, suppliers, assembly/manufacturing, engineering, and project teams.
  • Maintain communication with internal safety personnel regarding field-related safety concerns.
  • Translate field learnings into process improvements, standard work updates, supplier corrective actions, and product design enhancements.
Project & Schedule Support
  • Partner with Construction Managers and Project Managers to resolve quality issues while minimizing impact to project delivery milestones.
  • Provide timely risk visibility, escalation, and recommended mitigation actions to support schedule integrity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Project Management, Field Operations, and Customer Service to align priorities, remove barriers, and drive timely resolution.
Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to Product Quality CoE initiatives by supporting standardization, best practices, lessons learned, and capability development across the organization.

Education & Experience:
