We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Quality Control Inspector II to join our dynamic team. Calhoun is growing rapidly and needs energetic, ambitious people to help us grow.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Assist with training and checklist development to support quality compliance.
- Provide specialized training and support for material review and quality documentation.
- Develop and update company quality training materials and the Quality Corner newsletter.
- Conduct site quality audits.
- Document quality deficiencies, risks, help senior site leadership with corrective action plans.
- Provide site quality updates and follow-up support.
- Assist with concrete mix design reviews and related quality requirements.
- Verify submitted materials are correct for concrete crews and subcontractors.
- Daily quality reports.
- Work quality documentation.
- Site quality and stored-material documentation for concrete work.
- Managing Concrete quality checklists.
- Checklist compliance in accordance with concrete job requirements.
- Maintain a positive & helpful attitude with all employees, vendors, and other personnel onsite
- Assist senior staff with quality reporting, documentation, and basic data entry.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of two years of quality experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based documentation tools.
- Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard to moderately complex documents affecting projects, including but not limited to agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, prints, surveys and drawings
- Knowledge of construction processes and terminology
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Working knowledge of applicable quality standards and construction-related requirements, including ASTM and ACI standards.
- Ability to obtain and maintain quality-related certifications as required, such as ACI or ASTM certifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
