Quality Engineer (2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.
• Serve as primary contact with customer/supplier representatives, maintaining positive communication and relationship, and supporting and attending meetings, reviews, and audits.
• Ensure the quality system is maintained in accordance with YF iOS standards.
• Facilitate problem‑solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
• Verify corrective actions and prepare problem‑solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
• Establish process controls, assist in training new projects, and approve new or modified equipment and processes.
• Participate in work groups such as FMEA and PSMC, and support PFMEA reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis of technical quality problems with support from a cross‑functional team.
• Support quality and dimensional control systems (X&R charts, gauge studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of APQP tools (process flow, PFMEA, control plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).

• Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers, and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
• Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arriving at the designated location on time and being ready to work for assigned tasks (plant, corporate office, or remote).
