Through communication with Manager on Duty, the Host will greet and escort guests to tables, answer phones, and take reservations entering them into the Open Table database.

• Meet and greet guests as they arrive and escort them to their table and present the menu
• Maintain the host desk and all menus tidy/clean/neat
• Receive, record, and make necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant
• Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management, and other team members
• Observe all safety procedures during the execution of duties
• Work efficiently as a team

• Ability to stand and walk during 8 to 10 hour shifts
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop and wipe to perform essential job functions
• Ability to read English to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders and similar written materials
• Ability to move throughout a crowded room to seat guests

• Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school
• Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
