Position: Beverage Server - Ages 20+

Must be age 20+. Proof of age is required at time of orientation. Job Description:

This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of assigned locations in compliance with ABC/TIPS standards, health code, safety, and park and company operation standards.

  • Some positions under this application are paid at a flat hourly rate, while others earn a lower base rate with the opportunity to receive tips.
Responsibilities:
  • Follow proper alcohol and food handling procedures per Food Handling SOP.
  • Take and fill guest orders and requests in a timely and friendly manner. Promptly and courteously greet each guest with a smile, eye contact, and good body language. Close each transaction by thanking the guest.
  • Follow proper alcohol handling procedures according to TIPS and HFE standards.
  • Knowledge of HFE Alcoholic Beverage Service procedures.
  • Report any issues (guest concerns, equipment operation, etc.) to Command Base or supervisor.
  • Determine when sale or service of alcohol should be refused to an intoxicated guest and notify Food & Beverage and/or Property Leadership on duty of any guest who shows common signs of intoxication before the sale or service of alcohol to the guest in question. Complete appropriate incident form.
  • When necessary, and with support from Food & Beverage and/or Property Leadership on duty, remove alcoholic beverages from intoxicated guest’s possession.
  • When necessary, refuse service to guests based on reasonable observations of intoxication. Notify Food & Beverage and/or Property Leadership on duty immediately.
  • Maintain food stand cleanliness per Cleaning and Sanitation SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
  • Operate a variety of food equipment according to Safety Training Plan while using required PPE.
  • Understand and complete time and temperature sheets on an hourly basis.
  • Knowledge of stand menu, recipes, and prices at assigned locations. Follow all procedures and standards such as portion control, suggestive selling, clocking in/out properly, and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare and serve food that complies with expected quality, quantity, presentation and health code requirements.
  • Consistently operate food stands per SOP, including completing stand opening and closing procedures such as restocking and organizing work area.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, guest dining areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes/silverware. Sweep, scrub or mop floors, remove trash, and clean windows as needed.
  • Know and follow all procedures regarding the execution of Tasting/Dining Passports, Meal Vouchers, Drink Wristbands, and other internal vouchers.
  • Follow All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and use associated injury prevention measures.
  • Report any issues (guest concerns, equipment operation, food prep, etc.) to Command Base or supervisor.
  • Remain compliant with park-wide hygiene standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 20 years and 1
    day old to pour beer or serve alcohol.
  • Ability to obtain TIPS alcohol certification before working in role.
  • Professional appearance with good personal hygiene
  • Strong understanding of alcohol service and safety.
  • Ability to be sensitive to the needs of Guests and feel empowered to act to meet their needs within company guidelines.
  • Ability to tolerate a fast-paced, hectic environment.
  • Ability to smile and make eye contact to make a friendly impression when greeting guests, vendors and other employees.
  • Ability to operate a computer, including park software system.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information.
  • Ability to successfully complete a post-offer background check and drug screen
  • Completion of Food & Beverage Food Safety training and Allergen training.
  • Completion of TIPS alcohol training.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance by following grooming and uniform standards in Employee Handbook as well as Food & Beverage specific guidelines.

  • Knowledge of food allergens, as detailed in Allergen and Ingredient binder located at each food stand.
