PositionFull-Time Retail Sales Associate
Position SummaryWe are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker's / Retail Sales Associate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as: work location, qualifications, and experience.

- The best working hours in the business. Most stores open at 9AM and close at 6PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.

- Ability to earn unlimited commission above your hourly base rate.
- Vacation: one week after six months, additional week after one year, two weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after five years (adjusted for state/local requirements).
- Sick/Personal: 8 hours after 6 months to be used before first anniversary, 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2-5); 24 hours after five years (adjusted for state/local requirements).

- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs open/close procedures; maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays.
- Executes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Handles cash and negotiable items per policies.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
- Completes required training; performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.).
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products in exterior storage areas.
- Minimum Age: 18;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-focused.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Willingness to work at multiple locations; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. More details provided during interview.
