PDS Optical is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven National Sales and Account Representative to join our Eagle Safety team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, traveling to customer locations, and helping organizations provide high-quality safety eyewear to their employees.
The Eagle Safety National Sales and Account Representative represents the Safety Eyewear Division of PDS Optical. The position independently develops new business, maintains customer relationships, supports implementation and ongoing account administration, coordinates safety eyewear fitting services, and serves as a liaison among customers, fitting sites, suppliers, account, laboratory operations, and company leadership.
This is a full-time position. We offer a competitive compensation package based on relevant experience, qualifications, and demonstrated sales expertise. Compensation will be discussed with qualified candidates during the interview process, with consideration given to experience in sales, occupational safety, manufacturing, optical products, and related industries.
Travel is an important part of this position. The National Sales and Account Representative should be comfortable spending regular time on the road and working independently while traveling.
- Travel will typically occur approximately every 2-2 1/2 weeks, although business needs may vary
- Approximately 90% of trips are one-night stays.
- Several customer accounts require two-to-three-night stays throughout the year.
- Depending on your home base and customer location, some trips will be driving trips rather than air travel.
- The position requires flexibility to accommodate changing customer schedules and occasional travel with limited advance notice.
- Travel may include commercial air travel, rental or personal vehicles, and overnight stays.
Essential Functions

- Develop new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, presentations, and relationship building.
- Manage and grow customer accounts by providing exceptional service, identifying opportunities, and recommending safety eyewear solutions.
- Build long-term customer relationships and serve asa trusted resource throughout the salesand account lifecycle.
- Lead new account implementation, including pricing, contracts, frame kits, fitting-site coordination, and customer requirements.
- Support bids, renewals, and contract opportunities by coordinating pricing, product availability, and customer needs.
- Travel regularly to customer locations to conduct sales meetings, support accounts, and conduct orassist with on-site safety eyewearfittings.
- Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure customers receive accurate pricing, quality products, andtimely service.
- Process orders, upgrades, and account-related requests while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Track sales activity and opportunities and provide regular updates and reporting to company leadership.
- Represent Eagle Safetyat health fairs, trade shows, andother industry and business-development events.
- Identify opportunities to expand the Eagle Safety customer base and grow business within your territory.
Work is performed in an office setting adjacent to an optical laboratory and at customer or fitting-site locations. The environment may include interruptions, varying noise levels, and close interaction with a diverse group of coworkers and customers. Frequent local and overnight travel by commercial airline and motor vehicle is required, and travel needs may arise with limited advance notice. The employee must be able to work independently and manage changing priorities.
