Job Overview
3-6 month contract with probability of extensions
The Clinical Research Budget Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting our clinical research endeavors by managing budgeting and financial aspects, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with protocols. The successful candidate will collaborate with research teams, principal investigators, and external partners to navigate the intricacies of budget negotiations, analyze protocols, and optimize financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Budget Negotiations and Contracting
- Collaborate with research teams to negotiate budgets for clinical research studies.
- Analyze and review contracts to ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate discussions with sponsors and stakeholders to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) Expertise
- Utilize CTMS tools (Clinical Conductor, Oncore, Advarra, etc.) to manage and track clinical trial finances and activities.
- Collaborate with the CTMS team to build and optimize study configurations within the system.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of financial data into the CTMS.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for each research study.
- Generate reports on budgetary performance, expenditures, and financial projections.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on financial status and potential areas of concern.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Prior experience in clinical research with a focus on budgeting and finance.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating budgets and contracts for clinical trials.
- Proficiency in using CTMS tools, with preference for experience in Clinical Conductor, Oncore, or Advarra.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with expertise in Excel.
- Knowledge of Medicare coverage analysis is highly desirable.
