Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests on water samples and blood samples under general supervision.
- Cleans and sterilizes equipment.
- Conduct laboratory tests on water samples from surface waters, public swimming pools, and blood samples from birds.
- Conduct chemical tests and bacterial analysis of water.
- Perform suspended solids tests to measure level of water pollution.
- Conduct serological tests on blood specimens.
- Prepare media, solutions, stains, or specimens.
- Perform related work.
- College or university education with at least 10 college credit hours in one of the following:
Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field. - One year of laboratory experience.
