Security Sergeant - State Hospital

Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time Security Sergeant. This position will primarily work day shift.

Shift Differential Available: 10% (3p‑11p) & 12% (11p‑7a). $1 Weekend Premium Available.

• Provides supervision and guidance to assigned staff, including scheduling daily assignments and duties.
• Provides written reports and staff training.
• Conducts performance appraisals of assigned employees.
• Provides internal and external security and transportation for patients and staff.
• Responds and assists with patient physical management and all hospital emergencies.
• Evaluates, completes, and approves timesheets of assigned staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must have at least one year of experience in law enforcement or security.
• 1–2 years experience in a supervisory position preferred.
