Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will work as part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity.

Your role is essential in supporting a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
• Collaborate with site personnel to address security-related concerns and support a secure working environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
