Security Officer Part Time Screening

Pay Rate: $17.33 / Hour

Sun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
  You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
  In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries entering or leaving the facility in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification as required, and document screening activity, incidents, and irregularities in designated logs or systems.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, to help deter unauthorized activity and observe conditions across the location.

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
