Security Shift Manager
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the security shift which provides safety and protects all guests, team members, and company assets.
Essential duties and responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of team members and customers, managing programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries, delegating authority and assigning responsibilities, development of staff, evaluating and training by designing training programs, assisting with interviewing and selection, investigating incidents and/or customer complaints, compiling data for accurate reporting, ensuring all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift, meeting with directors and managers as necessary, completing and processing performance reviews, and other duties as assigned.
Required skills and abilities include management abilities demonstrated in managing security operational effectiveness, maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel, oral and written communication skills, knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual, and willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of shift.
Education and experience include two to five years' experience as a security guard or law enforcement agent with a 2-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience is preferred. Valid racing license.
Physical requirements and working conditions include frequently sitting or standing, walking, using hands to finger, reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking or hearing, and being subjected to moderate to loud noise levels.
