Overview
Job Title: Utility Officer
Location: Bardstown, Cox Creek, Lawrenceburg, Shelbyville, Lexington, and Versailles (must be able to travel as needed).
A Utility Officer must have availability for all three shifts. This role is similar to a flex officer but on a full-time basis. Schedules are made a week or two out, but last-minute needs may arise. Submissions must include a resume; submissions without a resume will not be advanced. Candidates may outline work history and contact information in the text box provided.
Responsibilities- Monitor and patrol premises to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.
- Prevent unauthorized access, detect suspicious activities, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Protect client properties across a range of environments, including offices, residential properties, distilleries, financial institutions, manufacturing facilities, and hospitals.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not required. Training is available for those new to the industry.
- Certifications:
- Security Officer License (where applicable).
- CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using security systems, cameras, and basic office technology (e.g., email, Microsoft Office).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods.
- Driving Eligibility: Posts requiring operation of a company vehicle will be permitted for those over 25 with a screened motor vehicle record. Accidents and violations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 25 years of age
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test
- Pay: $19—$20.25 USD per hour
