Security Officer Part Time Screener

Pay Rate: $17.33 / Hour

Job Schedule: Saturday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): Fixed eight‑hour shift assigned to a site and a weekly schedule that serves as a reliable base. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to the fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers while carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security‑related post orders at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting designated areas in accordance with location policies, and report irregularities through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, shipping documentation, and/or visitor information, and help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to screening areas, dock locations, parking areas, and other assigned posts as directed by site needs.

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by law.

• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
