As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover Patrol in Watterson Park, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. You will be expected to respond promptly to incidents, assist with access control, and utilize technology such as computers or tablets as part of your daily duties.

What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activities within the premises to help to deter potential security-related issues.
• Document and report any unusual observations, incidents, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters and support a secure environment.
• Remain alert to changes in the environment and adapt patrol routes or activities as needed based on site requirements.

• Availability across various days and shifts
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
