Summary
Maintenance Technician at Live! Hospitality & Entertainment. The Maintenance Worker will perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures in building. Assists in various maintenance and warehouse department functions and tasks and assists with the performance of various duties. Performs variety of skilled duties in one or more building trades such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical, and other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing the building.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform routine, repetitive daily inspections and maintenance necessary for building exterior and interior.
- Assist and perform semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair, and construction tasks in the upkeep of the Distribution Center building.
- Assist and perform installation, maintenance, repair, and construction work in basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
- Assist and perform functions in the construction, installation, and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker boards, chalkboards, tack boards, and a variety of other structures and items.
- Inspect properties and communicate with management regarding proper grounds keeping, general cleanup, and maintenance.
- Prepare and paint walls and woodwork or perform other types of refinishing.
- Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules and MSDS sheets.
- Perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for patrons and to eliminate hazards.
- Work occasional after‑hours as required.
- Utilize scissor lift or operate boom for stage matting, unique or special deliveries for entertainment and production needs.
- One year experience as a semi‑skilled worker in one or more basic building maintenance trades and/or one year experience in a warehouse distribution operation.
- Knowledge of manual and electrical hand tools.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off‑shift hours and weekend assignments.
- Must be able to operate a forklift, light truck, and other related motorized equipment.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- 1 year of related employment in building maintenance.
- Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, including climbing ladders and staircases.
- Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning, reaching, and bending at the waist; indoor/outdoor environments with exposure to extreme weather.
- Must be able to perceive the nature of sound, utilize near and far vision, depth perception, provide oral information, and possess manual dexterity to handle and work with various materials and objects essential to the position.
