THE JESS HOWARD ELECTRIC COMPANY IS A FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESS THAT HAS BEEN DOING ALL PHASES OF ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING WORK SINCE 1945. We have established lasting relationships with many residential, commercial, and industrial utility customers. We are a unique electrical contractor due to the fact that we perform so many different types of electrical work, including residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work such as sports lighting, airport lighting, traffic signals, underground systems, pole-line, and utility work.
With over 120 employees and 300 pieces of equipment, there is no job too small or too large for Jess Howard Electric Company.
The Fleet Mechanic will be performing preventive maintenance and repairs on the company fleet of trucks and vehicles.
Responsibilities- Determines vehicle or equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
- Performs preventive maintenance schedules, required inspections and winterization procedures.
- Responds to vehicle repair needs, in the field, as required by conducting and/or coordinating repair activities.
- Maintains vehicle records by documenting all services and repairs and filing them on site.
- Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements.
- Updates and improves technical knowledge and ability by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical and regulatory publications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 2-3 years of experience in vehicle and/or equipment maintenance and repair.
- Technical/vocational school degree preferred.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Mechanical Shop
Salary$25-28 / hr, based on experience
