Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Read and interpret engineered drawings
  • Skills and Abilities: Perform duties satisfactorily
  • Language: Read, speak, and understand English
  • Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, hand dexterity, speaking, clear vision and hearing, ability to lift and carry 75lbs.
  • Mental Requirements: Ability to follow procedures in an organized fashion

Duties / Tasks
  • Punch in on time and be available at the start of each workday.
  • Communicate with Coordinator and customer contact to determine route, placement, and termination of coaxial and fiber optic cable on customer premises.
  • Load and maintain necessary equipment and material stocks onto the assigned vehicle.
  • Run coaxial and fiber optic cable according to company standards and local building code.
  • Set backboards, lockboxes, equipment racks, and/or pedestals as necessary.
  • Run EMT, CRM, or other conduits as necessary.
  • Learn to splice coaxial and fiber optic cables.
  • Act as the final company contact, cleaning up the jobsite, noting deficiencies, and ensuring customer satisfaction before leaving.
  • Read and check prints.
  • Clean vehicles, equipment, and shop.
  • Follow all safety regulations and standards.
  • Notify supervisor of unsafe equipment or working conditions.
  • Attend safety meetings as required.
  • Receive an annual performance evaluation of satisfactory or better, or have a plan in place to achieve that.
  • Follow company, customer, and OSHA safety rules and regulations in the field.
  • Perform any other duties or assignments as may be assigned by the supervisor.
