Our continued growth has created a need for more skilled technicians. Our Technician Academy will introduce you to the material handling industry. Our staff of professional trainers will teach you everything from the basics of working on engines to the more complicated computer diagnostics and control systems.

Since our incorporation in 1973, Louisville Switching has had an extensive relationship with Kalmar Ottawa Trucks. We are a licensed, authorized motor vehicle dealer with the ability and desire to sell only the highest quality Kalmar Ottawa yard trucks. We also have a garage with nine spacious bays to service our customers' repair needs.

Requirements

Technician Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair material handling equipment and other identified products brought into the shop for repairs.
• Provide a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Be Safe in the Moment:
  Follow and promote safety initiatives.

Technician Requirements:

• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel systems, charging systems, and Cummins are a plus.
• Must have own tools. Tool purchase assistance provided.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Present a professional image in appearance and preparation.

Working Conditions: Hours will be 7:30 a.m.

- 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Steel toed work boots are mandatory.
