Install, program, configure, commission/test, and service commercial security products including but not limited to Simplex, Software House, DSC, American Dynamics, Genetec, Hexagon, and many other platforms, as well as other integrated building system products at customer sites.

• Execute projects on time and within allocated installation hours
• Work with the project manager to resolve all discrepancies and coordination problems that impair installation activities
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals; coordinate installation activities with all trades to optimize installation time; attend all required site meetings
• Instruct and train customers on functional operation of the equipment/system, conduct simulations, and answer questions
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with district staff and customers to ensure satisfaction
• Complete project documentation in a timely manner
• Adhere to all OSHA and Simplex/Grinnell safety policies and procedures; participate in a scheduled on‑call rotation
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Five (5) years of documented experience in low‑voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
• Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multimeter usage, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices
• Ability to obtain and retain any licenses required by national, state, and local codes
• Capability to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50–70 lbs
• Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high‑lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, or above ceilings
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements
• Demonstrated high level of customer service
• Ability to lead and work well with team members
• Adherence to, implementation of, and follow‑through on safety guidelines and procedures at all times
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly
• Valid driver’s license with a record that meets company requirements
• Pass a pre‑employment background and drug test
• Ability to travel overnight if required

• NICET Level II certification
• Local state licenses
• Knowledge of local fire codes

Hiring hourly range: $28–$40 per hour. The posted rate reflects the target compensation for this role. Exceptional candidates with unique skills may be considered above the stated range.
